The strawbale houses can have various
foundations, mostly it depends on the ground of
the site.
There are two types of houses. The Nebraska type,
which has the bale walls that carry the roof
load. The other type is where to load is carried
by wooden frame and bales act as infill and
insulation. The the most common types built in
Estonia are so called hybrid ones. There is
usually a framework but it works together with
the bales to carry the roof load and formulate a
rigid structure.
The roof is usually made of natural materials
such as wood or straw. But also other materials
as metal, compressed and impreganted cellulose
and ruberoid has been used.
The communications are fixed into the house as in
every other one. Doors and windows are wooden and
good qaulity.
It would be sensible to plater the walls to give
the interior more heat accumulation mass and to
take advantage of the stucco that has lf
regulation property of moisture.
Bathrooms are fixed with tadelact or usual
ceramic tiles.Some videos introducing bale
